| The 2008 CSSBI Annual Photo Contest |

In total, 120 photos were received. All photos were submitted for adjudication by Terri Meyer Boake, B.E.S. B.Arch. M.Arch. LEED AP, a professor at the University of Waterloo’s School ofArchitecture. The winners and runners-up of the Photo Contest were announced at our Annual CSSBI Member Meeting on June 10, 2008.
The category winners and runners-up are listed below. First place winners each received a Sirius Starmate 4 Satellite Radio complete with a year’s subscription. For second and third place winners, a choice between Home Depot, Rona, or Future Shop gift certificate prizes were awarded. Second place winners each received a $100 gift certificate; while third place winners received $50. The CSSBI congratulates the winners and runners-up, and thanks all member participants for making this year’s Photo Contest one of the most successful. The CSSBI Photo Contest covers five sheet steel categories, including Lightweight Steel Cladding, Lightweight Steel Framing, Residential Steel Roofing, Steel Building Products, and Steel Building Systems. Professor Boake judged the photos of each category based on the projects’ usage of sheet steel, the relevancy of sheet steel to the project, architectural design and aesthetics, as well as the presentation of any unique features.
